There will be a student council meeting on Wednesday September 20 at 2:35 in Mrs. Kerls room.
If you are interested in writing for our school newspaper our Mapletogian club meets THIS WEDNESDAY in room 239 after school!
MAGSA, which is Maple Avenue’s Gay Straight Alliance, will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 20th in room E138. The club is for any middle school student — LGBTQ+, friends, and allies. See Mr. Kane with any questions.
Exciting news for all snow enthusiasts! The Ski Club packets are now available for pickup in all house offices. Grade 7 and 8 Students: Please submit your packets on September 26 and September 27. Grade 6 Students: Your packets will be collected on September 28. Packet collection will take place before Block 1 at a table near the Student Services office. Failure to turn in your packet on the specified due dates will result in placement on the waiting list. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mr. Scrivo in room 267.
Any 7th and 8th grader interested in joining Jazz Band Club should see Mr. Doyle in the Band room for information. Students must be able to play an instrument already to join.
Attention 7th & 8th grade girls interested in Cross Country! There will be an informational meeting after school on Thursday 9/21 in room 269. There’s still time to join our team for this fall season. No experience necessary & everyone competes!!!! You will need a ride home. See Ms. Grolley for details.
Attention Grade 8 Students Interested in going on the Washington D.C. Trip: Please remind your parents that there is a mandatory parent meeting directly following open house this Thursday 9/21. Please reach out to Ms. Moore or Mrs. Vanderzyden with any questions!
Maple Avenue Musical Club Is holding auditions for their production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Auditions will be submitted online and are due by October 14th. Be sure to pick up the flyer in your house office or in the Main Lobby to find out how to audition for the show!
Attention 8th Grade HATHORN and RED students, on Friday, you will be escorted to auditorium. You will need to bring your charged device with you. 8th Grade Columbian and Excelsior students, you will need to bring your charged device to flex on Tuesday.
There will be a No Place for Hate interest meeting after school on Wednesday, September 27th in room 257. Students in No Place for Hate design and create fun and informative schoolwide activities to build empathy and combat biases. Come learn what it’s all about.
