Students in Ms. Pelella’s art classes are sharing their work with community members this year. Each piece of artwork has a message of goodwill, encouragement, and positivity to share with a community member.
In November, the class donated poppy drawings to veterans and the VA hospital and pie drawings to a local food pantry to attach to their thanksgiving meals. In December, classes are creating pictures for Saratoga Hospital to give to patients who can not have visitors. I January they will create art to give to Shelters of Saratoga/Code Blue.
The classes continue to learn about how art can create connections and bring joy to the community around them. After all, especially in 2020, who wouldn’t love to receive one of these special pieces?
