How the District Communicates Closings and Delays Due to Inclement Weather

As the snowy months approach, SSCSD would like to remind our school community of how a weather-related delay or closure will be communicated.

All cancellations and delays are communicated to families and staff through ParentSquare as an email and text message. This information is also posted on the homepage of the school district’s website and announced through many local media outlets through the School Closing Network.

The decision to close or delay the starting time of school will be made as early as possible to ensure everyone’s safety.
