Club Meetings and Information: March 7th, 2023
Best Buddies is back in full swing! Peer buddies come join us to plan our next meeting after school March 8th from 2:30 – 3:00. All Best Buddies are welcome from 1-2, March 14th in the large group room to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
Attention 8th Graders! Semi-formal tickets will be on sale starting next week in the cafeteria during 8th grade lunch. The cost is $15 per ticket. Tickets will not be sold at the door. The semi-formal will take place in the back gymnasium on Friday, March 24 from 7 to 9pm.
Grade 6 science accelerated placement testing and grade 7 on-ramp placement testing will occur block 1 on Wednesday, March 8. All students should report to their Block 1 class for attendance FIRST before heading to their testing location. 7th grade students will be testing in the LGI. 6th Grade Students from RED and HATHORN will be testing in Cafeteria 1. 6th Grade Students from EXCELSIOR and COLUMBIAN will be testing in Cafeteria 2. All students need to bring their charged device, a pencil, and a calculator.
Attention Wrestlers! The end of season pizza party will be this Thursday, March 9th during 7th & 8th Grade Flex & Lunch. (11:40 – 12:45). Please check in with your flex teacher then report to Coach Martucci’s Room 185.
Voice club 6-8 will be meeting on Wednesday at 2:30 in the Chorus room.
International club will meet in room 275 on Wednesday March 8th. This is a change from the club calendar. The club will not meet on March 15th.
Bagpiping club will meet on Wednesday after school in Ms. Barber’s room. Be sure to bring your instruments.
Congratulations to the Maple Ave Science Bowl team! The team finished 2nd in the car race and 4th in the academic competition at the Regional Science Bowl in Niskayuna. Team members included captain Manny Stewart, Teddy Edmonds, Harvey Edmonds, and Jace Hill. Great job team!
Adventure Gaming Club will be meeting on Wednesday, 3/8 after school in the library.
Congratulations to all of the Maple Avenue Musicians who participated in this past weekend’s NYSSMA solo festival. Students who participated prepared and performed a solo for adjudication. We are proud of all who participated! Way to go Maple Musicians!
