Today is a “A” Day

Club Meetings and Information

  • It’s Unity Day – a day when we wear orange to stand up for kindness, inclusion and acceptance. In Flex today, please take the opportunity to learn about the I ACT model. Check your Canvas announcements for a link to play a Blooket and to be entered into a raffle to earn gift cards to Stewarts, Amazon, Starbucks, and Dunkin. During lunch, you’ll sign the No Place for Hate Pledge, get a sticker and get another chance to be entered into our gift card raffle. Thanks for doing your part to make Maple Ave rated E for Everyone!

  • Today is the second day of the Scholastic book fair! If you’re not visiting during ELA, stop by this week during flex or studyhall. Teachers can send 3 students at a time, each with their own pass. Cash and eWallets are accepted.

  • No Place for Hate will meet today after school in room 257 to celebrate Unity Day and to select today’s raffle winners. Can’t wait to see you!

  • French Club will meet after school on Wednesday, October 16 in room E142. All students are welcome, even if you don’t take French! Late bus passes will be provided. Any questions, contact Ms. Decker.

  • Attention any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in joining indoor Track & Field! There will be an informational meeting after school on Wednesday 10/16 in room 269. Everyone is welcome, everyone competes, no one gets cut from the team! See Ms. Grolley for more information.

  • Attention students. It is time to redeem your LiveSchool points! Look for an announcement in Canvas to visit our online shop on October 16th to place your order. The order form will close at the end of the day on Monday the 21st as we pack orders for delivery on or before October 31st. If you miss this opportunity, keep listening to the morning announcements for November’s online order dates and information! And keep following the 4 Bs to earn more points and make Maple Avenue a great place to be.

  • 6th, 7th, & 8th Graders! Get your order forms in for our annual Poinsettia and Wreath Sale! Order forms and money are due no later than Monday, October 28 to the WDC station located outside Student Services. It may seem early to order these holiday plants, but get them before they are gone! All proceeds for this fundraiser provides aid for our students in need here at Maple Avenue.

  • 6th graders!! There will be a Halloween dance on Friday, October 25, here at Maple from 7pm to 9pm. Join us for food, dancing, and fun! It will be a spooktacular time! Tickets will be sold online only through ParentSquare. You are encouraged to wear a costume but it is not required, however, keep in mind there can be nothing covering your face and no toy weapons will be allowed. We hope to see you there!!

  • 8th Graders mark your calendars! The 8th grade semi-formal will take place here at Maple on March 21st. More information to come after February break.
