Robert Yusko has been appointed as the Assistant Superintendent for Business for the Saratoga Springs City School District. The appointment is effective September 5. Mr. Yusko will replace Tim Hilker, who is leaving to become the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services of Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) Board of Cooperative Educational Services
“It has been a pleasure working with Tim Hilker and I truly appreciate the outstanding leadership he has provided to our district. Tim is well respected for his financial expertise and will do a wonderful job supporting all 31 school districts across our region in his new role at BOCES. We are very thankful for everything Tim has done for us here in Saratoga Springs for the past eight years” said Superintendent Dr. Michael Patton. “We are excited to welcome Bobby Yusko as our next Assistant Superintendent for Business in September. Bobby has a strong financial leadership background and is eager to work with our Board of Education, faculty, staff and the community in helping meet the needs of all students and maintaining the financial health of our district.”
Mr. Yusko has been the Assistant Superintendent for Business at the Glens Falls City School District since 2015. Prior to that, he served as a School Business Executive for the Hudson City School District and as the District Treasurer for the Cairo-Durham Central School District.
Mr. Yusko earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in public administration and education administration from Pace University. He holds a permanent certificate from New York State as a school district business leader.
