Students taking the course Exploring Teaching as a Profession with Mr. Schorpp are learning about careers in education. This new course is offered through a partnership with the School of Education at the University of Albany.
This course introduces students to the concepts and the practice of teaching, the history of education and school systems, and the process of planning a lesson. Students will have the opportunity to visit classrooms and learn from current teachers as well as design a week of lesson plans.
Pictured Above: Students studied the history of education in Colonial America. Students worked in small groups to discuss what educational experiences were like in different regions of the 13 colonies. Each group presented its findings to the class and discussed the differences.
